The CycleOps PowerBeam Pro ANT+ keeps you in top physical form all winter long without the loud, annoying hum traditionally associated with indoor trainers. In fact, CycleOps states that this trainer maintains a reasonable 69-70 decibels when you're riding at 20mph, allowing you to train anywhere in the house without being banished to the basement.
Pre-assembled for maximum convenience straight from the box, this trainer gets you up and riding within minutes of unpacking from the box. All you need to do is unfold the legs of the PowerBeam Pro ANT+, adjust the Unique Leg Adjustment (in case your floor isn't exactly level), and attach the one-sided skewer clamp dial adjustment, with the included steel quick release skewer bolted through your rear axle. Additionally, a nifty clutch knob perfectly adjusts the roller tension to the tire of your training bike without worrying about it being too loose or overly tight.
Since this trainer uses ANT+, it displays performance data on ANT+ cycling computers for real-time analysis as you ride. Its integrated PowerTap power meter provides you with metrics, such as power in watts, power zones, peak power, caloric expenditure in kilojoules, cadence, heart rate, and much more. Plus, the included Mini ANT+ USB stick allows you to control resistance from your computer for customizable training sessions. You can also use this trainer with PowerTap's PowerAgent software for post-training analysis, as well as CycleOps' Virtual Training app for auto-syncing sessions with virtual training routes. Check with CycleOps' requirements for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Note that the included quick-release skewer accommodates most road and mountain bike frames, and the two-inch resistance unit works with 650b, 700c, 26-inch, 27-inch, and even 29-inch wheel sizes, with tires up to 2.25-inches wide. However, it doesn't work with 120mm rear dropouts found on track bikes. Additionally, we recommend using CycleOps' Climbing Riser Block if you're getting out of the saddle for extended periods.
Blow the legs off the competition. (COPA01C)
